Cuyabeno Rainforest Adventure-Sample Itinerary

 

 

Day 1 Quito-Lago Agrio- Rio Cuyabeno-Laguna Grande.

Crossing the Andes to the oil town of Lago Agrio by bus or plane, arrival approx. at 9:30 pm. Private transportation to the bridge on the river Cuyabeno (100km). We offer lunch in the restaurant of the Bridge or arriving at the lodge according to the schedule tickets.Transport in a motorized canoe down the river to the lake Great Cuyabeno where the Cuyabeno Lodge. During this tour, you can already see wealth of flora and fauna. After a nap, exploration trips in the lagoon, swimming and sunset observation.

 

Day 2

Early in the morning before breakfast, bird watching and delfeines search. Then, walk on land with your naturalist guide who epxlicara over the forest, wildlife, medicinal plants and the life of the natives. After lunch, a nap. Later, canoe ride through the woods covered with abundant macrollobiums espifitos and piranha fishing. Search for monkeys and birds.

 

Day 3

After breakfast, travel by canoe down the Cuyabeno river followed by a short walk on land to the Community Siona. the indigenous explain their culture and observe the making of the typical "Casabe". Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, a nap and a swim in the lagoon. After dinner night tour to see alligators, insects and night birds.

 

Day 4

arly morning bird watching. After breakfast, walk in the jungle explore plant and animal life. In the afternoon tour to explore small lakes.

Day 5After breakfast, travel to the bridge where our vehicle will take you to Lago Agrio to takebus or plane back to Quito. We offer a box lunch.
